That Time of the Month

“I have been trying to call you for an hour.”

“I was in the hot tub.  I shut off my phone. What did you want.”

“Well, I will have you know that I was trying to call to tell you that I was going to shut off my phone for a while. I had a really bad day, and now you have made it worse.”

“Why didn’t you just leave a message?”

“What good would that have done?  Your phone wasn’t on.”

“When I turned it on, I would have gotten the message.”

“Yeah, but if you tried to call me, before you checked your messages, you would have gotten my message recorder.”

“So?”

“So then you would have worried and wondered why I didn’t answer my phone.”

“No I wouldn’t have.”

“Why do you hate me?”

“I wasn’t even planning to call you.”

“We will talk about this when I get home.”

At the gym:

“Hi, how much would it cost to workout with your bags for an hour?”

“Are you a member?”

“No, but I am thinking of joining.”

“OK, well it’s $10.00 an hour.”

“Just to use your bags?”

“Yes. It’s $350.00 a year.”

“I guess that’s a better value.”
